Cirque Du Soleil Christmas Party

Sharing here some pictures from our Christmas party a couple of weeks ago. This year's theme is Cirque du Soleil. Its a circus and a masquerade party in one. And as usual, we took pictures before, during and after the party :-) Enjoy...

Guess who?

Nice hair color, don't you think? Hehehe...

We have a stilt walker and a unicyclist going around the venue during the party.

My Grown Up Christmas List

In keeping with the Christmas season - for my featured song lyrics, I am sharing my favorite Christmas song - My Grown Up Christmas List. I have heard several versions of this song but I like the version of Kelly Clarkson and the version of Michael Bubble. The wishes in the song are also my wishes for the world. As the lyric goes - "here's my life long wish, my grown up Christmas list".

I hope everyone receive their wishes this Christmas. And Happy New Year to all.

Here is the song... enjoy and feel the lyrics.

My Grown Up Christmas List

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies

Well, I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here's my lifelong wish
My grown up christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal the heart
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end oh,
This is my grown up Christmas list

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely
Wrapped beneath the tree

But heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
A hurting human soul

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
Oh, This is my grown up christmas list

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, oh
This is my grown up christmas list
This is my only life long wish
This is my grown up christmas list

Pictures with my nieces and nephews

Here are some pictures of my nieces and nephews. They are sons and daughters of my cousins. Its only during the holiday season when we get the chance to be together and take pictures like these. Since my cousins moved to their own homes in Antipolo, we seldom see them and their kids. That is why we always look forward to occassions like the Christmas holidays and celebration s like birthdays or get-together-lunches.

That's so Raven!
Cool Raven :-)

Tita wait, my sun glass is fallin' ;-)

A Note To All

Hello there, I know I have been a very bad blogger for the last couple of weeks. I have neglected my duties as a blogger and as an EC dropper. I am guilty of not performing my daily blogging tasks. I admit, I was one of the many who's been very occupied with the holidays activities - Christmas party, get-together-diner, Christmas gift-shopping, malling and all the other activities that you get busy with during Christmas season. And to top it all, I got sick too, but it did not stop me from participating in all the Christmas activities; although it did stop me from blogging. That is why I am feeling soooo guilty and I feel bad about it. I also got other plans lined up which I was not able to do... because I spent too much sleeping (whenever I am not at the mall or a restaurant). Oh dear, now I am really feeling bad about my actions :-( I want to say sorry to my fellow bloggers and followers for neglecting my duties. And I thank those who continued visiting my blog and dropping ECs. Thanks a bunch. I also want to greet everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Missing Our Dear Friend Jentot

About three weeks ago, one of the witches of PTC gave me a buzz. It was Liz. She was asking me when are we meeting each other. We were suppose to have dinner a week before but unfortunately due to our busy schedule and my ever reliable memory (I forgot about our dinner), we were not able to meet each other. Anyway, she was reminding me again that we need to meet because the other witch – Jen, has something for me. Well, that's what Liz told me - “we need to meet. Jen has something for you”. And so that night I met with Liz. I was not feeling well actually but I got so excited and so I did not care how bad I was feeling that night.

The “something” that Jen has for me is not really just for me. Its for us – for me and Liz. She requested Liz to buy two stuffed toys – one for me and one for Liz. And requested Liz.. let me rephrase that.. Jen "ordered" Liz to have coffee with me. In other words, she wants Liz and me to spend time together and have a bonding moment. And so, as obedient friends hehehe...that's what we did. Here are our bonding moment pictures... well, these are proof actually. Liz sent these pictures to Jen already. And as expected, she was crying while she was chatting with us and looking at the pictures. Oh dear.. I miss us...

These are the bears Liz bought for us. I got the green and Liz took the blue bears. I named my bear "Jennifer"; Liz named hers "Marie".

Gustong umeksena nung mga bears. Gusto din daw nila na may moments. At take note nung pinipicture-an ko sila, binibilangan ko pa yan. Baka kasi gumalaw e. Hahahahha.

The bears are having their moment too. Take note, Liz was counting 1-3 before she took a shot of the bears..hehe.. well, just to make sure they will not move :-p

Gusto ni Rhea na mukha syang emotera. Kaya ganyan. Side view muna. Ang ganda ng Jacket ni Rhea noh?

I want a serious-look-pose or the emotera pose. Side view shot.

Thanks Liz, i love my green jacket too :-)

This is me, with my green jacket.. my green bear named Jennifer.. and with my starbucks frapp.. Thanks Jentot!

This is Liz, with her blue teddy bear named Marie.. and with her starbucks coffee...

Bad girl Liz.. feeling Ms. Cherry Gil...hehehe....

Walking on Stilts

I got this quiz from my friend Maicel. It caught my curiousity :-) so I took the quiz. And I was amazed with the results. Some of my friends might not be aware (especially my friends from high school and college, that I am/I can be funny and make people laugh ;-) I would agree to this statement -

"You are witty, but you are also great at physical comedy"
...that is if making "funny" faces and silly walking/modeling can be considered as a "physical comedy".

Anyway, here is the result of my quiz. Try answering it too :-)

You Should Walk on Stilts

Your biggest talent is your ability to make people laugh.

And like most comedians, you'll do anything to get a people roaring.

You know how to work a crowd. You are witty, but you are also great at physical comedy.

But you'll leave the daredevil stunts to other people... you don't need them to get your applause.

Missing My Caloy

My special friend and I were having a little "communication" problem lately. And just last week, we had another one. Well, honestly it was just me who has some issues with him when it comes to keeping in touch with me. I just felt that he's forgetting about me and that he's not making an effort to keep our communication lines connected. I told him about how I am feeling. And as usual, he did not say anything. He did not answer my text message. Until last Saturday, I was at the mall waiting for my friend, I received a text message. I thought it was my friend whom I was meeting that day. But it was him. I am not sure how I felt when I saw his name on my phone. Its mixed emotions actually. First, I was surprised. I was not expecting that he will text me again after what I said to him (I can't share..sorry). And secondly, I felt excited and happy when I started reading his message. But the first line made me feel a bit annoyed. There he goes again...but after reading the whole message, my face felt warm and I started to smile. He really got a way with me, especially when I have issues about us or whenever I am having a moment that involves him. He knows how and when to "deal" with me whenever I am having a moment. Makes me love him more :-X Mishu Caloy! Mwah!

Year Book

My officemate, who happens to be my schoolmate and batch mate in college, gave me a copy of our Faculty's year book. We went to the same Faculty in UST - the Faculty of Arts and Letters; but we took different majors though - she took Behavioral Science and I took Economics. I think she was one of the sponsors for the year book that is why she got several copies. Me? I have no copy; I did not get one. At that time, the year book for me is just a piece of book with pictures in it.

This copy of the Faculty of Arts and Letters year book is actually very special. The Faculty of Arts and Letters was celebrating its 100th year. Actually, I just realized, I belong to a very special batch. The reason/s? Well, one is the 100th year celebration of the Faculty where I am enrolled. And the other is, it was on my school year when UST won the UAAP for 4 straight years :-D (as if I always watch UAAP, hehe...)

Anyway, back to the yearbook. I just want to share what my classmates and friends from college has to say about me back then. I am not sure if you can read it from the picture below (maybe if you enlarge it you would be able to read it); so I just wrote it down below.

Rhea has the word "business" circulating in her brain. This early, she has the determination to earn and the conviction to succeed. This cute and childlike gal is sweet, sentimental, thoughtful and unassuming. Chances are you will find yourself smitten by her sweet and evident smile.

"More of a listener than a speaker", Rhea does not have a habit of talking too much - every word spoken is accounted for, every phrase uttered is thought of. But wary, she can be makulit once she gets to know you.

1st and 2nd sentences - speaks of me very well :-)
3nd - ok.. unassuming ;-)
4th - really? i know how to smile? hehehe..
5th - yes, true... back then it was... but now? ask my officemates ;-)
Last - yes, yes.. I am makulit!

My Starbucks Planners

My Starbucks Planner 2006 2007 and 2008
I was one of the many who got interested with the planners from Starbucks coffee. For the last three years, I joined my friends and officemates in completing the stickers so we can get the planner for free. A starbucks drink is equal to one sticker; and you need to complete 24 stickers before you can claim your planner. I took pictures of my starbucks planners for 2006, 2007 and 2008. Each one has its own "story"; each one has a specific "content".

My Starbucks Planner 2006

The beginning of a good thing. This is my first planner from Starbucks coffee. I was so excited when I got it because there's been a lot of good things happening with my life during the last quarter of 2005 that I wanted to write about . I was very optimistic that this good things will continue in the future, in the year 2006. And I decided that I will write this good things in my new planner; forever treasure each moment in every page of my new planner.

I was able to complete the 24 stickers before the year ended. It has available pages to write on for December 2005. And since, the good things to write about started October, I wrote on the first 5-10 pages of the planner. I wrote in between the spaces of the pictures and designs :-)

My Starbucks Planner 2007
The fight to keep the good thing. My second planner holds the memories of my struggle in trying to keep the good thing that happened in my life during the year 2006. Every moment was recorded. Each page has its share of memories, sentiments and emotions. It has been my friend during the time I am alone and lonely; when I have no one to share my thoughts and my feelings with. When it seemed that no one understands me; when no one seems to listen. It was my witness in all my heartaches; every tear that dropped. My 2007 planner got it all; kept it all.

My Starbucks Planner 2008
The struggle to let go and move on. My third planner, and I am not sure if this is going to be my last (I am not that enthusiastic in collecting stickers to get the 2009 starbucks planner), has all the details on my struggle to let go of the good thing and move on with my life. I wrote here all my plans for the year 2008. Looking at the list now, I was able to do some of the things I listed down; while some... remains on the list :-) I can always write it down to my 2009 planner.

Right now, I already have 10 stickers. But as I said, I am not that eager/enthusiastic to complete all the stickers. If I would be able to complete the stickers and then its good with me; if I would not be able to complete the stickers then its still okay with me... not a problem for me :-)
