RSS Feed (xml)I saw this web site of a substance abuse treatment center located in Florida USA. The center offers a number of programs for those who have problems with substance abuse, such as alcohol and drugs. What caught my interest is the different treatment centers that they have, that are available in the center. Looking at the photos of these treatment centers is like looking at photos of a very nice and relaxing vacation spots. Geez, if I am a "patient" of this treatment center, I would surely be enjoying staying in their different centers.
Well I guess I was just surprised because I have not seen a drug rehab center like their treatment center in the Philippines. Most of the substance abuse center I know are located in the big hospitals in Manila. And they are usually on the basement part of the hospital or sometimes on the upper floors of the hospital. I have not heard of a treatment center in the Philippines that are located near the ocean or the sea; just like this rehab center in Florida.

Thye do have some very nice treatment centers here in USA and in Canada also.
It is no different than the jails...they spend more of the tax payers money trying to keep prisoners and addicts in comfort than they should.
It is some sort of humanitarian law.
It really makes the tax payer wonder.
@dorothy: hi there.. i can see that.. and i have watched some movies and tv series that shows the prisons in the US... you really got nice facilities...
maybe they thought that a nice place to live in and be cured would help these prisoners and addicts straighten their lives (wink, wink)
