Last week I was telling my friend that I want to replace my celphone with a new unit. I was a bit sad while I was telling her about it because I would be able to buy the replacement next year. It would be the best time for me to buy because by then I am finish paying for my iPod which I acquired through a deferred payment facility. It was actually the 2nd gadget I bought using my credit card and paid through a deferred payment facility. The first one was my digital camera. Anyway, my sadness doubled when I learned that my netbook's battery is also defective (sad, long face). Now I am confuse. I can only afford to buy one item at a time. Otherwise, it is going to be a tight budget for me the whole year next year (sad face).
But fortunately, this afternoon I saw my monthly bill for my celphone. I was staring at it,, analyzing my consumption (i.e. the text messages, call and data charges). Then I suddenly remembered the retention program of the telco companies that they offer to their subscribers. Its almost two years since the last time I availed of it. And so to verify this, I called the phone company and inquired. Yey! I am already qualified for the program. I also inquired for the phone that I like. According to the customer service agent, the unit I want is available but I would need to add some cash since my plan is a little lower than the plan required to get the unit for free. But that's okay, the cash amount is much lower than the actual cost of the unit. It would be a great deal if ever. Now I need to save money for it; hopefully I would be able to have my new phone before the year ends.
