All Souls Day with My Nosy Family

My Mother and I went to the cementery this afternoon to visit our relatives who are already resting in peace with the Lord in heaven. In the Philippines, All Souls Day and All Saints Day are also one of those occassions where "the family" get together and see each other again (the family - meaning the whole clan). This is true for "my clan". Most of my cousins are now living away from our house where all of us grew up together. And this is one of those times that we see each other again.

As usual, they were asking me about that "special someone". And as usual, I will just smile at them. Then they would ask me the question again; I would just look away and pretend that I did not hear it (big grin). And because they could not get an answer from me, they went on grilling my butt by telling me that I should lose weight and that I am getting bigger.. and probably the reason why there's an absence of a special someone in my life, blah.. blah.. blah.. blah.. (great! just great!)

I told them to leave me alone (big grin); leave my big butt alone. And instead of telling me what to do, they should give me money so I can enroll myself to the gym, or buy myself a threadmill, or a dip machine, or a truck load of diet pills.. hehe..

I thought I would be able to get them off my neck when I told them that, but they went on. And this time, they were telling me that I am earning well and that I can afford to enroll to a gym or buy myself all the execise equipment I can use to lose weight... blah.. blah.. blah... Gee whiz! What else can I say?
