Insurance Plan or Health Plan?

The idea of getting an insurance plan came into my mind again. I'm thinking of using some of my 13th month pay for an insurance plan. But I still need to think it over (again) (big grin). I am having second thoughts whether to get an insurance plan or a health plan for my parents. It can't be denied, they are getting old and very prone to sickness. And it would be good if their health is monitored and checked regularly. I have seen a few websites of health insurance companies; surely there are a lot of choices available. There is this one health insurance provider that stuck in my mind - Blue Cross. The reason? I always pass by their building on my way to work. The building has a big logo of Blue Cross on top. It can't be missed especially when you pass by the bridge. I wonder if the Blue Cross company here in the Philippines is the same or affliated with Blue Cross NC. I am still trying to find out. But first, I have to make a choice - insurance plan or health plan?
