My parents' been busy with all the renovations going on in our house. A couple of weeks ago, my Dad started with the renovation of our ceiling in the living room. And finally, just last Friday, the changing of the ceiling was completed. Renovating a house is not easy, and the part that I don't like most about it is - the mess it creates. I am allergic to dust and to all sorts of small particles that the eyes can't see that is capable of passing through or crawling inside my nose. That's why I don't get excited whenever there are changes like this around the house. Anyway, just this morning, my Dad started painting the house. And I am also allergic to strong smells like paint, floor wax, etc. But while he was preparing for the painting work, I was talking to my Mom about changing the lighting in our living room and in the dining area. We were hoping that my Dad would hear our conversation and he might get the idea of buying a new lighting system too (big grin). I also mentioned that a new sofa set would be nice in our living room; our current sofa set already look terrible (sad face). A newly painted living room would definitely look more cozy if there's a comfy sofa set to match it with (big grin). There are a lot of modern furniture available in the malls today. Some are even on sale. I was trying to convince my parents that it is better to purchase a brand new sofa set, rather than have our old furniture reupholstered. Besides, the frame design of our existing furniture is already considered as an old style furniture design. I was hoping for some good reactions from my Dad, but unfortunately, he was busy preparing his painting tools and pretended as if he was not listening to my conversation with my Mom (sigh). Nice Dad (big grin).
