Yey! Friday! (June 18, 2010)

Last Friday (June 18) was a different kind of Friday for me. Unlike my usual get-together with office mates or old friends; or sometimes having lunch outside the office, this Friday was spent better than the usual.

I reported for work in our Makati office to work on the tasks my boss discussed to our team during our meeting with her last Thursday. It was a long list of task actually; a list that would really panic and feel like you need to have more than 24 hours in a day to be able to finish everything. I actually heard my teammate saying "it does not feel like Friday today". I think I would agree with her, that day - Friday is the new Monday. I was surprised when I did not feel "negative" about it. Yes I was panicking but somehow I don't feel bad.. I don't feel messed up (which I've been feeling for the last few months). My colleague actually noticed it too. She said that I am full of positive vibes in spite of all the items we have disccused in the meeting and while I am working on our assignments (big grin). This is one thing that made this Friday different - I feel good and positive even if I have loads of work to do and even if my only inspiration is too busy to say "hello" to me.

After a long day at work, I had coffee with my officemate Ms. E. We stayed in the coffee shop for 4 hours (big grin). We talked about a lot of stuff - work, friends, life, love life (wink, wink). There is one thing that I will always remember in our conversation during our bonding moment that Friday. I will not share the full details (sorry), but its all about faith in God and trusting God. What we really need is to work on building that faith and trust in God; and make it/keep it stronger. Words of wisdom from my friend on times when I am really feeling messed up and confuse. It is really something to cheer for.. and to be thankful for.

It was a long and tiring day indeed. But I enjoyed it. I had fun. And I am happy.
